Rick Smith took some college at Maple Woods Community College after graduating high school. He then went into the Army Reserves for 8 years. During that time he got married and has 3 children. He is still a resident of the Northland. As an owner of R & S Lawn Service, Rick oversees the sprinkler crews and the fertilizer crew.  He is out everyday meeting with customers and is an essential part of our sales force.

Scott Hulen went to Longview and Park Colleges graduating with a degree in Business Management. Scott also went into the Army Reserves for 6 years. Scott is married and has 3 children. He is also a resident of the Northland.  As an owner of R & S Lawn Service, Scott oversees our landscape crew and our mowing crew.  He is also a vital part of our sales force.

Kelly has been at R&S since 2018. She prides herself in maintaining the office at R&S and loves to help people in any way she can!

Jerry Carpenter has been with R & S Lawn Service since 2006.  After retiring from NKC High School and Earl May Nursery, he decided to join our staff as a part time landscape designer.  Jerry has extensive knowledge of plants and his landscape designs are spectacular.  Jerry has excellent communication skills and is able to develop innovative designs for our customers.

Dave McAdams has been with R & S Lawn Service since 2013.  When Dave started with R & S Lawn Service, he was with the landscape crew.  Since then, he has moved to our sprinkler technician position.  Dave is a dedicated employee.  In his spare time he enjoys doing home remodeling and his own landscape projects.

Jarod Hulen has been with R&S Lawn service since 2015 as part time employee. He has during this time learned about being a sprinkler technician. As of 2017 R&S Lawn service has added a new team member that has been trained for the past three seasons. Jarod graduated high school and now is a full time employee. While in high school he was involved in soccer and the local robotic team.

Taylor has been working at R&S since 2022. With Rick being her father, she has been around R&S her whole life. Her fondest memory of R&S was handing out flyers at the Home Shows as a child.
